1. About the platform

Lessel Ceylon Gem (“LCG”, “we”) operates this website as a marketplace and online auction platform for gemstones. Gemstones are offered either from our own collection or by independent sellers approved by us (“Sellers”). We manage seller verification, listing approval, auctions and the coordination of payments and delivery.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. Buyers must verify their email address before bidding or buying. We may suspend accounts that provide false information, fail to pay for won items or misuse the platform.

3. Listings & disclosure

Each listing states whether a stone is natural or laboratory-grown and its treatment status as disclosed by the seller or determined by a laboratory. Photographs and videos are provided to represent the stone as accurately as possible; colour can vary between screens and lighting. Where a certificate is shown, the certificate is the authoritative description of the stone.

4. Auction rules

1. Eligibility. Only registered buyers with a verified email may bid. Sellers may not bid on their own listings.
2. Bids are binding. Each bid is an offer to buy the gemstone at that amount if it is the winning bid. Bids cannot be withdrawn.
3. Increments. Each bid must be at least the minimum shown on the listing (the current bid plus the minimum increment, or the starting bid if there are no bids).
4. Anti-sniping. A bid placed within the final 2 minutes extends the auction so that other bidders can respond.
5. Reserve. Some auctions have a confidential reserve price. If the reserve is not met, the item is not sold.
6. Winning. The highest valid bid when the auction closes wins. We notify the winner by email and send an invoice with payment and delivery details.
7. Payment. Winning bidders must pay within the period stated on the invoice. Prices are in US dollars; shipping, insurance, duties and local taxes are additional unless stated.
8. Irregular activity. We may cancel bids, auctions or accounts in case of error, suspected fraud or breach of these rules.

5. Fixed-price purchases

“Buy now” requests reserve a gemstone subject to confirmation of availability. A sale is complete when we confirm the order and payment is received.

6. Sellers

Sellers must be approved by LCG, provide truthful identification and business information, have the right to sell each stone, disclose all known treatments and synthetic or laboratory origin, and describe stones accurately. We may reject or remove listings at our discretion. Fees, commissions and seller plan terms are agreed with each seller.

7. Shipping & returns

We arrange insured shipping for each order. Return eligibility, if any, is stated on the invoice or agreed in writing, and applies only to stones returned in the same condition with any original certificate.

8. Privacy

We use your personal data to operate your account, process bids and orders, verify sellers and contact you about your transactions. We do not sell your personal data. Contact us to access or delete your data.
